Micro Generation
Micro-Generation Systems
What Are Micro-Generation Systems?
A micro-generation system, also known as a small-scale embedded generator (SSEG) seeks to harness environmental sources of power, such as the sun, wind, water or heat from the air or ground. The most common of these are solar electric panels (solar photovoltaic), solar hot water systems, and wind turbines.
Not so common, but are become ever more popular are, air source and ground source heat pumps. Hydro turbines in a domestic market are presently not too popular within England, but more common in Scotland & Wales.
With the Government's commitment to reducing the effect of greenhouse gas emissions and the use of fossil fuels, the introduction of the feeding tariffs in April 2010 for the use of micro-generation systems which feeds into the National Grid has encouraged many to reduce their carbon footprint and utility bills.
Cowley Electrical is a qualified MCS electrical installer for solar systems, and undertakes all additional AC electrical work on additional systems for our partner company EcoSaveIt who are MCS accredited to install and certificate micro-generation systems, which could see you earn money whilst on holiday or at work!
